Amuwò (initiation) is a contemporary dance piece on the importance of initiations and focusing more on the layers of pains, sacrifices and rigor that goes along in every procces of initiation. While we reawaken the needful but gainful perseverance initiation. Its an expression to growth and development. This happens to almost every individual regardless of age, tribe or race, boyhood to manhood, girlhood to womanhood, citizenship to kingship, military, promotions through, trainings, cultism adherences, theatre initiates, spiritual transformations with transfigurations,religious baptism and inductions, occupational graduations and skill acquisition mastery. Amuwò is design to reawaken and promote deep and lasting pesiverance first in all it audience and the community at large because the result from every meaniful and constructive initiations always birth good fortunes and satisfactions.

This short film tells a story of a simple truth of knowing and making the right choices that is thinkable as humans , not dumping trash anywhere , a man who loves his peace lives at the sea side in the community, where people dump refuses and it’s unofficial, he was affected by it, before nature fight back by it self .

Clime metamorphosis.

This project conveys some of the emotional attributes of climate change, impacting the awareness of this issues and influencing audiences who watch the film, majorly focusing on deforestation and afforestation . SYNOPSIS

UNTITLE D SERIES by the TFODC is a radical dance creation with an open ending on the prevailing animosity in the most disadvantage area of lagos Nigerian. This is a unique Protest dance- theatre Art piece that exposes the social cultural situations of a particular region in Africa, where political, religious, and tribalism is not much difference to the global nepotism and racism. The sarcasm here, transit every layer of the performance and the characters carefully illustrate the height ignorance on the said issues while they strive to regain their true identity as a nation or individual as they ignore the positive use of togetherness at every needful point of decision making.
The concentration from of the beginning, the piece reviews the quest for fuel (power) as most important components for survival in the economy of all third world nations like ours, when they annex or access this power, they use it for self actualization, which may be humanly correct because of the rationale that governs the decisions of man and the political formation of its region. The quest for supremacy continues as the rivalry grows into the pointing of accusing fingers across one another for the rout created by the collectives. They fuel up the rancor with variously accessed powers (segregation, ethnicity, despotism, religion and tribalism) at the detriment of the collective development.

SYNOPSIS

The complex nature of this piece reflect in the layers of storytelling that aligning also with the real situation of things and Art in Africa I.e. the didactic nature of man and its Art forms, the derived joy from superiority over another, the inferiority complex, etc.
Untitled series is a protest dance art that question statuesque on the part of the government and also expose the virus of racism/tribalism, religious crisis, ethnicity, hooliganism among individuals that are governed in Africa. The resolution from this piece comes with a preposition to plague into the magnanimous power of Art as a tool for constructive change in our society. Even in the most remote area of Bariga Lagos Nigeria, the mind of the dramaturge & Choreographers is to CONTINUE to use dance Art to tell/Prove the potency of Performance Art in correcting anomalies in their immediate community to foster true development.

TESTIMONY

This piece has recorded an outstanding testimonies since creation, aside its pronounced trend social media from the live streaming of its premiere on Qudus Onikeku face book page in 2016, which generated loads of reactions, comments and it arose series of deliberations in almost all major creative Art symposiums in 2016/2017 in Lagos Nigeria. The site specific version was strong enough to influence the current governor of Lagos state, GOV. AKINWUNMI AMBODE to order the immediate repair/ re-construction of all the major roads where UNTITLED SERIES has been played. ( 1) OKUTA ROAD BARIGA LAGOS (2)ODUNSI STREET LINKING THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE BARIGA (3) ILAJE ROAD BARIGA (the most popular road in the Bariga community of Lagos)
This piece was also used as case study to push for ‘Dance Art’ as a means of Collectable Art forms; at the 2017 AF symposium. It was argue that the video may not be viable enough but the collection of the costumes and pictures from the Art scene from great Art Works like F.O.D GANG ‘’UNTITLED SEREIS’’ can be archived as a major Art forms with high Quality.
Another of the testimony is the AFRICAN JURNAL MAGAZINE 2017/2018 EDITION; a magazine for the development of dance in Africa with Pro.CHUCKS OKOYE as one of the editor, he is using pictures from UNTITLED SERIES as a picture Story magazine for this edition after he experienced it live.(the site specific version)

SYNOPSIS

This dance film opens a new note of saying there are Good white and Bad white as we have Good black and bad black , focusing on race .

This a crossroad of choices and options to humans journey of thoughts , This is also to place more relevance on the other part of human reasoning as we can not just have white as pure good and black as pure bad .


This is a concept of Yin and Yang , the idea of complementary forces describing how obviously opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another.

The usage of this two different colors is a very deliberate act , using this Colors to portray different race of the world having this two interdependent option as a crossroad of decision making with historical significance . This inherited racial biological foundation manifests itself primarily in physical phenotypes, As it occurrence is permanent to Every human being decision.

The derivation of this name was on purpose after discovering a lot about life, which can be tracked down to the Yoruba Language in west Africa, This term is used to describe how there.

This piece created an atmosphere that highlight a real life story of two brothers, whose childhood wasn’t a path to cross, The journey through their life as trafficked children after the demise of their parents, they were offered a supposed best opportunity by one of their family friend, to travel to Europe for a better life. This is a step into unimaginable process of the bitterness of been trafficked, bringing clarity and comprehension to a shocking and vital issue.
